Dr Russell Chowdhury

Dr Russell Chowdhury is the Practice Principal and Director of Lidcombe Family Medical Centre.

He has been practicing medicine in Australia since 2012. He graduated from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). While he shares an interest in every field of general practice, his special interest remains in allergy and Immunotherapy, chronic disease management, IV Nutritional therapy, preventative health, and paediatrics.

Dr MD Safiqul Islam

Dr MD Safiqul Islam has been practicing medicine in Australia since 2011. He graduated from Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 2003. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). While he shares an interest in every field of general practice, his special interest remains in Mental Health, Chronic Disease Management, Preventative Health, and Paediatric Care.

Dr Rubaiyat Mahfuz

  • General Practitioner – Male

Dr Rubaiyat Mahfuz has been a GP for over 10 years having worked in England and Australia.

Following his medical graduation in Bangladesh, he moved to United Kingdom where he completed his General Practice Specialty Training and obtained membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

During his GP training he worked in various specialties including Accident & Emergency, Acute Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Paediatrics & Child Health, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Psychiatry & Mental Health.

He had been working as a GP in England prior to moving to Australia. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a specialist GP who enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Shahala Khan 

  • General Practitioner – Female 

Dr Shahala Khan graduated from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2001. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She has more than 20-year experience in medical practice. Her special interest is in women’s health, antenatal care, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and reproductive medicine.

Dr Mihir Roy 

  • General Practitioner – Male

Dr Mihir Roy is an experienced and dedicated general practitioner with a special interest in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Dr. Roy has over 15 years experience working in the hospital and general practice scenes and has board certification with FRACGP.

Mihir’s aim is create a safe and non-judgmental environment to encourage patients to openly discuss their addiction related concerns. He also maintains strict patient confidentiality to foster trust and ensures culturally appropriate treatment.

Mihir has been working in New South Wales Health more than decade. He has worked at multiple tertiary Hospitals including Westmead and Blacktown in Emergency Department. He has worked in psychiatric and toxicology teams as an emergency advanced trainee. Mihir is currently completing further training at The Royal College of Physicians to become an addiction specialist.

In his leisure time he enjoys traveling, watching movies and spending time with his family.

Dr Nadira Khan 

  • General Practitioner – Female 

Dr. Nadira Khan is a compassionate and committed general practitioner who is passionate about the continuity of care for her patients. She has 10+ years of experience and training Sydney hospital emergency departments in the western suburbs of Campbelltown, Blacktown and Mount Druitt.

Dr. Nadira’s main areas of interest are Emergency Medicine, Aboriginal Health, Paediatrics, women’s health, and preventative medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Nadira likes to travel and spend time with her family. She also enjoys calligraphy and crafting when she can.

Dr Nooreen Alam Mahfuz

  • General Practitioner – Female 

Dr Nooreen Alam Mahfuz is a Specialist General Practitioner in her current practice in Campbelltown since last 10 years. Initially she graduated( MBBS) from Bangladesh and later did her membership (MRCGP) from Royal College of General Practitioner in London in 2013.

During her GP training period in UK, she gathered wide range experiences from multiple disciplinary – acute and emergency medicine, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynae and obstetrics, Psychiatry and Paediatrics.

Subsequently, she obtained her fellowship ( FRACGP) from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in Australia in 2015.
